• How long does it take to complete the first report?

  It takes two to three hours for the first report and 15 minutes to update.

• How much does it cost to use the MFI Factsheet?

  MFIs can use the MFI Factsheet free of charge provided it is used internaly and for non-commerical purposes.

   

  You are not allowed to use the MFI Factsheet for other purposes (such as training for instance) without our authorization.

• How can I get support?

  We offer free online support.

   

  To receive support you must have the minimum requirements and the latest version of the software (MFI Factsheet).

• Can the MFI Factsheet be customised?

  Yes. The Excel format of the MFI Factsheets allows you to customize it.

   

  Certain sheets of the Excel workbook are protected.  Before editing you must unprotect the sheet.

   

  To unprotect a sheet in Excel 2003:

  • Click Tools in the menu bar

  • Click Protection

  • Click Unprotect Sheet

   

   

  To unprotect a sheet in Excel 2007:

  • Click Review tab
  • Click Unprotect Sheet  

  Please note that the sheets will be protected automatically as soon as you go onto another sheet. 

   

   

  Warning:

  If you want to use the MFI Factsheet in combination with the MFI Factsheets Compiler you can adapt the Financial ratio sheet as well as the Graph sheet. Moreover, you can also adapt some hidden sheets with appropriate caution. You can not make changes in the Identification sheet, the Balance sheet, P&L sheet and the Extras sheet.

• Is it compatible with Excel 2007?

  Yes, the MFI Factsheet is compatible with Excel 2007 provided you use Excel 2007 in "compatibility mode".

   

  Please follow these simple steps to put Excel 2007 into compatibility mode:

   

  • Click Microsoft Office Button
      
     

  • Click Excel Options
     
     
  • Click on Save in the list of options on the left and use the pull down arrow to select Excel 97-2003 Workbook. All future files that you save will have the file extension .xls rather than the 2007 .xlsx extension.

   

   

• The MFI Factsheet isn't working properly. What's wrong?

  You must check that macro's are enabled in Excel.

   

  Please follow these simple steps to enable macro's in Excel 2003

  • Click Tools in the menu bar

   

  • Click Macro

   

  • Click Security

   

  • Select Low and confirm by clicking Ok

   

  • Close Excel and reopen the MFI Factsheet

   

   

   

  Please follow these simple steps to enable macro's in Excel 2007

  • Click Microsoft Office Button
     
     

  • Click Excel Options
    
  
  
  •  Click the Trust Center button on the left. 
  
  
  • At the bottom right, select Trust Center Settings
  
  
  • Select Enable all macros and confirm by clicking Ok
  
  
  • Close Excel and reopen the MFI Factsheet

   

• How can invisible sheets be made visible?

  The MFI Factsheet contains a number of invisible sheets.  In certain situations, it might be useful to make the hidden sheets visible.

   

  Please follow these simple steps to perform this action in Excel 2003:

  • Click Format in the menu bar 

  • Click Sheet

  • Click Unhide

  • Select a sheet and click OK
    
     

  Please follow these simple steps to perform this action in Excel 2007:

  • Right-click on the name of any sheet visible on the bottom right of the screen and select Unhide from the popup menu.
  • Select a sheet and click OK

• How can you fill out a new year in the MFI Factsheet?

  At the beginning of succesive years, the factsheet can be automatically adjusted for continued data entry in the new year, by clicking the button "Next Year" in the top left corner of the sheet "BRS00: Identification Sheet".

   

   

  This will generate a new factsheet in which the Actual Year is adjusted and all previous information moves along one column to the left.

  To know which version you are using, look at cell F26 in the "Identification" sheet of the MFI Factsheet.
